ORGANIZERS

The Latvian Schools sports Education Centre (LSSIC) is an educational institution founded by the Latvian Schools sports Federation (LSSF). in 2007, it was registered with the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science in the Register of Educational institutions with the No. 3360800704 but reregitised in 2022 as an adult non-formal education institution with registration No. 2880802546. LSSIC's founding objective is to organise further training events for sports teachers, sports organisers, coaches and stakeholders in improving professional skills in working with children and young people, based on international experience gained by our sports teachers in participating in courses in Austria, Italy, Thailand, Hungary, Finland and Estonia. LSSIC started in 2001, when LSSF started organising such courses at Adazi free Waldorf School and Vainode. In 2017  LSSIC also started organising courses for sports teachers of Latvian pre-school educational institutions (PII) sport teachers. The experience gained in organising courses in Latvia has created the conditions for starting international courses. The first international sports teacher courses took place in Murjāņi from August 10 to 14, 2025.
